The In-Character Interview
Character Name: Xhianil
Class: Death Knight
Level: 85
Professions: Tailoring (381) and Herbalism (525)
Character Description: A thin, very pale-skinned female draenei. She is slightly taller than average and tends to wear light colors, especially white/silver and pale blues to reflect her affiliation with frost. Xhianil is incredibly torn apart by her undead status, and what she has become at the hands of the Lich King, but tends to be very quiet and reserved about it. She has very vague, sporadic memories of how her life used to be, what she used to be. Her hatred for the scourge has become a major driving force behind her desire to repent for the things she did while under the Lich King's control. It's uncertain if she will ever truly forgive herself - and she certainly does not expect anyone else to forgive her - but she continues to search for ways to better herself.
Brief Character History: Since she was a child, Xhianil knew exactly what she wanted to do - make others happy and defend her people. It was almost destined that she became a paladin, and was very happy to provide whatever service she could to assist another Draenei. Despite her best efforts, she could not protect her mother, who was killed in the Exodar's crash.
How did your character become their class?: Once a paladin in dedicated service to the Light, Xhianil jumped at the chance to fight the Scourge, but she and her comrades were overwhelmed almost immediately, leading to their inevitable demise and, for some of them, re-animation.
Why do you wish to join Elysium?: Xhianil would enjoy being around others of her kind, and hopefully find a way to repent for what has happened to her, even if she'll never really be the way she was before. Even in death, her desire to help others is still strong, and there's very little she wouldn't do to help a fellow Draenei.
Elysium operates in a militaristic fashion - that is, it is governed by a triumvirate and their council. Will you be able to obey orders if you are given them, or will that be a problem for your character?: That would not be a problem for Xhianil at all.

The Out of Character Interview
This section of the application is completely optional, but it is a way for officers to get to know you a little before meeting you.
Name: Jill
Age: 20
Is this character a main or an alt?: Main.
Are you a part of any other guilds?: No.
What first got you into roleplaying? What kind of roleplaying experience do you have?: I've been roleplaying for almost eight years, and I originally started way back in MSN chatrooms. I've roleplayed in several other roleplay forums and MMOs across time (Anarchy, EverQuest, Perfect World are a few) and participate in a weekly D&D group on Wednesday nights.
What sort of roleplay do you most enjoy? (Action, Romance, etc): Anything good for character development. I'm not that interested in fighting/battle roleplay, because it's just too easy for people to cheat/god-mode with it.
