Mesmer, the Hypnotist
Mesmer's earliest memory is of a decadent bed, with expensive sheets and carefully built with dark, engraved wood. Due to an unfortunate head injury during the crash of the Exodar, these kinds of memories are all that Mesmer has of Draenor or her life on it. All of her scattered memories are of Draenor, so it is safe to assume that is where she was born.
However, Mesmer's memories of Azeroth are as clear as day. From the moment she started exploring Azuremyst and meeting all the creatures it had to offer, it became apparent that she had a startling knack for taming animals. Unfortunately, this was about the only thing she was good at, but it was enough to hold her over for a while, once she had set out into the world. Lessons on crossbows were needed once things more dangerous than plants started trying to kill her, and she picked it up after a rocky start. Thus she became a Huntress.
And thus she traveled around Azeroth, doing all the usual adventurer-type stuff, and just exploring, taking in the shattered world around her. After seeing so many wrecked cities and destroyed lives, inflicted both by Deathwing himself and by the subsequent conflicts he ignited, she began to develop a deep hatred for conflict and death. Deciding she'd had enough of adventuring, she hung up her weapons and decided to visit the biggest melting pot in Azeroth to spend all her gold: Stormwind City.
While in Stormwind, she decided to visit the library, having been taught to speak, read, and understand Common. She stumbled across an interesting concept in one of the books she was reading: hypnosis. It was intriguing to her, and after much study on the subject, she decided to try it out on a few close friends. Success was spotty, but there was definite progress! And thus she stopped becoming a huntress and became a hypnotist instead, bringing sleep rather than death.
Mesmer has drawn a conclusion from her scattered memories: that she must have been a daughter of some very rich or successful family. The actual probability of this is nothing to worry about to her, she's perfectly willing to accept the idea, perhaps even subconsciously altering her own memories to fit with it. Consequentially, she holds herself in very high regard, resulting in someone easily offended, but on the flipside, easily won over by flattery.
There are very few people Mesmer knows, and they all travel a lot, making them very difficult to get a hold of.
Likewise, Mesmer has very few people who hate her or would wish her harm, mostly just criminals lurking around Stormwind's alleys who would hurt her no matter who she was.
Mesmer is a person who hates suffering, the suffering of others, of course, but mostly her own suffering. If she sees something wrong she can stop, she will. If it's nothing she can stop, she won't think any more about it.
Mesmer has no personal reasons to hate the Horde, nothing she can think about in terms of personal experience. But she does possess a vague hatred nonetheless, brought on by her race and her faction.
Mesmer is currently exploring the shattered remains of Draenor, with quick stops back at Stormwind before heading out again. All in all, she's bored.
