Just like any other guild, Elysium requires a few rules to make sure that it's run smoothly and always an environment where everyone can feel comfortable with one another. A lot of these expectations that are listed here are no brainers. If you cannot abide by or do not understand these rules, then it is your responsibility to seek out an officer so that they may be clarified. If any of the OOC rules are broken more than once, you may or may not be penalized depending on the severity of the situation and the rule broken.
Your OOC race, religion, and politics do not have any place here. We are not very strict when it comes to chatting, but these are those topics that will kill friendships and spread discontent like wildfire. If you have any interest in these, speak with your friends about it in whispers, but it will not be tolerated in guild chat.
Drama is only welcome in roleplay. We will not tolerate griefing, rumor-mongering, gossiping, or any activity that will upset other members of the guild. If a problem becomes so extreme that it is affecting your experience within Elysium, report it to an officer immediately and we will get things sorted out.
Respect the guild. This one is pretty self-explanatory. Any reports of blatant disrespect or griefing in game will be treated very seriously and, in some cases, punished. Keep any personal roleplay that would cast a poor image on our guild between you and your partner.
Respect your officers. The officers of Elysium put in a lot of hard work to make sure the guild is an environment that everyone can enjoy. If you have issues with IC or OOC officer orders, you must take it up with them in whisper. If you do not feel comfortable speaking to them, you may speak to another officer about the issue.
Be active. This is self-explanatory. Please don't join our guild and not expect to be kicked after not logging on for a month. We're looking for players who are active! 30 days of inactivity, from either in-game or the forums, will result in the removal of that character.
Treat roleplay as a game. Have fun with your character. Be a hero, be a villain, but please -- don't be a powergamer. Every game has rules, and it's more fun for everyone if the rules (such as "swords can sometimes cut you") and the lore are respected.
Please respect our intelligence. This is a pretty minor issue. A lot of roleplay is done through writing, and we'd like it if you could make an effort when you do write or communicate. Every time you substitute "u" for "you," a fairy dies. You don't want to kill fairies, do you?
